Elek: I knew all along that we would keep all three points at home

Akos Elek: Yesterday's win was a hard fought one against MTK. I was counting on it being just this way, as well as all the other games that we will play in over the spring season. We will have to fight for every point and chance. They scored their goal even though we had dominated the whole first half. We were aggressive in the match, just like our manager had asked us to be. MTK practically came into our half on once. Their goal affected us for roughly 10 minutes, which is undersandable. We played in yet another game, where we had to come from behind, which shows the strength of the side. We were lucky that we managed to equalise right at the end of the first half, which was an important moment for me personally. I would point out that I was sure, even when we were 1-0 down, that we would keep all three points at home. All the players went out on to the pitch in the knowledge that they would have to give their all, and everyone had to carry out their own tasks. I feel that this win has brought the team even closer together, and this was a big step forward in our quest for the league title. People say that you do not need to ever explain a win, but I would add that for us the most important is to be results focused. Finally I would add that whatever happens in our cup match at Honved, we must not lose next week at Ferencvaros!
