A group of Anderlecht supporters traveled 1,350km to watch one of their favourites play again.
- Where you surprised when you saw the Anderlecht supporters in the main MOL stand, with a large banner, which was aimed at you?
I will honestly say that I did not notice the Belgium supporters in the first half, but only as I came off at half time to go towards the dressing room. When I played in Belgium, I received so much love from the supporters there, and today only confirms that the 8 years that I played abroad in Anderlecht is not forgotten. I went over to thank both them and the Vidi fans after my goal, and then gave my shirt to them after the game. We also spoke for close to 15 minutes. Things like this always mean a great deal to a footballer, as there is nothing more important than to feel the love of the fans.
- We managed to win this big match, how would you sum up the game?
We played in a really big game against Győr. We showed that we are a real team, and we are also well organized. I am a little bit angry that we conceded goals that were avoidable. However, the strength and togetherness could be seen when we twice came from behind, managing to win in the end. I am proud of the team. Neither at 0-1, or when it was 1-2 was I worried that we would suffer a defeat. I thought that the team played with confidence throughout the match. I knew inside of me that we would win, and I feel that the others also felt this. The substitutes did well when they came on, and everyone contributed towards the win.
- Did you ever think that you would have three goals to your name after 3 league matches?
I did not think this would happen either. I am really pleased with my 3 goals, but even more so that we have 9 points after 3 matches.
"We directly planned our holiday, so that we could watch a Vidi match during our stay in Balaton, and to once again see Roland Juhasz play. We were not disappointed, and we chose a really good match. Roland played just as well as he had done when he was in Belgium. He is a real full hearted player, who plays with full opportunism for the team. We really like him, and it was a real joy to watch the league game between Vidi and Győr. It was also nice that Roland gave us his shirt after the match, and we were able to talk to him about the old times" - commented Pierre to vidi.hu |
