It is important to pick up all three points on Saturday, as the top sides have games away from home, so it will be a good chance for Paulo Sousa's side to close the gap on the leading two.

There is an interesting weekend of football, which kicks off on Friday evening, with Vasas taking on Honved in a Budapest derby match. Vasas have recently been bought by new owners, and they will be looking to pick up 3 points, to help them move away from the bottom teams. Saturday has five games, with the most important being the home match with Kaposvar. ZTE, who have yet to win all season, and who recently almost went out of business, will be very keen to get something out of their home game with Pecs.

Ujpest should have no problems when they play Siofok at home. The Budapest side have strengthened their squad during the winter transfer window, with former Vidi player, Dusan Vasziljevics hoping to make his debut for his new side. Zsolt Haraszti could feature for Siofok in the same game, with the youngster joining Vidi in January, before going out on loan to the Balaton club.

Papa make the journey to Paks on Saturday, knowing that they will have to win to climb out of one of the bottom two positions. Paks will be favourites in this match, which usually finished in a high scoreline when the two meet. Ferencvaros have the biggest match on paper this weekend. They face leaders Debrecen at the Albert stadium, and Vidi will be hoping that FTC can do them a favour by winning. Debrecen have yet to lose so far this season, having topped the OTP league over the autumn season.

There are two matches on Sunday. The first is the Kecskemet vs Diosgyőr match, which is hard to predict on paper. Kecskemet are a fairly strong side at home, while DVTK do not travel too well. However, they have a stronger squad and the new arrivals will be eager to help the Miskolc side collect three points. The final game of the weekend is the Haladas vs Győri ETO fixture. Győr will be hoping to get the 5-1 Hungarian cup defeat to Videoton out of their system, against Haladas, who are always dangerous and hard to beat on their home pitch. The weekend fixtures give Videoton a good chance to close the gap at the top of the table, but the most important aspect, is to win at home to Kaposvar on Saturday.
