2-1 win in the training match against Ajka

On Friday morning at 11 am we hosted our cooperation team Ajka in a closed training match at the Sóstói Stadium. Head coach Tamás Pető started the match with Kemenes - Simut, Huszti, Spandler, Kalandadze, Milicevic - M. Kovács, B. Szabó, Bedi, Sekularac - Saponjics.

The game started with a chance for the visitors, Doncsecz burst forward on the right and won a corner. Our team responded immediately, with good pressing to get to the Ajka goal, but Kalandadze's shot was just wide. In the 7th minute, we had a good chance; Milicevic's left-wing cross was just missed by Saponjic and he was anyway offside, but a free kick was awarded to the visitors.

In the 14th minute, Borsos broke forward with a neat flick, the returning Huszti caught him before he could get into position. In the 19th minute, Milicevic's cross was flicked in the goal by Saponjics, but the goal was disallowed for offside. In the 26th minute we took the lead; Bálint Szabó set up Mátyás Kovács on the right, who broke inside the penalty area and shot towards the far post (1-0).

The minutes went by with the ball mainly in the middle of the pitch with, the goals not in danger. Then in the 42nd minute Saponjic covered the ball well against his defender, but his shot missed the goal. In the second half, the visitors also got in front of goal, Major's shot was blocked by Spandler and then cleared for a corner.

At the break, Huszti was replaced by Milán Virágh, while Ajka got a chance to play our co-operative player, Tamás Tóth Vid. Mátyás Kovács was caught in a by the visiting defenders, he fell inside the penalty area, the referee saw no foul in the incident. On the other side, Borsos tricked his way to a position, his shot was saved by Kemenes.

In the 56th minute, Milicevic's corner from the right was met by several players at the short side, but nobody touched the ball, which ended up in the net (2-0) . Holender replaced Saponjic and Melnyik came on for Bedi. In the 67th minute, Nikolasz Kovács shot into the net (2-1) to bring the visitors back in to the game after a smart one-two.

Tamás Horváth, Bence Pintér, making his debut in the senior team, and Gergő Ominger, recovering from a long injury, were given a chance by Tamás Pető, while Milicevic, Sekularac and Mátyás Kovács were rested. In the 83rd minute, we led an eye-catching attack: after Pintér's corner, Szabó passed to Holender, whose shot from the right was side-footed. There was a chance for the visitors at the end, which Kemenes tipped away to the top corner to end the game with a 2-1 win for Vidi.
