We spoke with our defender, Olivér Hesz, about the lessons learned from the match against Soroksár and his expectations ahead of Sunday’s league game away at Szeged.
"In our match against Soroksár last weekend, after a strong start in the first 20 minutes, we didn’t play the way we wanted to or the way we had in previous games. This week, of course, we looked for and found the reasons; a major problem was that we lost most of the one-on-one battles all over the pitch, and that’s how we conceded the goal in the final minutes. That’s why we focused a lot on one-on-one battles in training this week; the coaching staff managed to make us realize that we can’t make mistakes like that. Our opponent on Sunday, Szeged, has a strong squad. I’ve been playing against them in league matches for several years, so I’m sure a physical game awaits us with plenty of one-on-one battles. All three of their finishing forwards are constantly hungry for goals, waiting for passes and trying to use their physical advantages. Their performance has been a bit inconsistent this season, but we’re definitely in for a very tough game. We’ve prepared for the opponent to the best of our ability, and if we stay focused, execute our tactical instructions, and win the duels, we’ll leave Szeged with three points," our defender, Olivér Hesz, told our website.
