We were once again worthy opponents against a side that is stronger on paper

Paulo Sousa: It was a very balanced game, where we could have led in the first half with several goals. We managed to equalise quickly after they took the lead, which we deserved to do. We then handed over the areas to them a little, and they tried to hit us with set pieces. I felt that one of the Sporting players should have been shown a second yellow card, when the scores were at 1-1. If he would have received it, then the outcome of the match would have been different. I am very proud of the players, and we were tactically aware, and played with maturity, and we were once again worthy opponents against a side, which is much stronger on paper.

: The match with Benfica is much more important for us, but I am naturally very pleased that we managed to win in today's game.
