Videoton picked up a point away at Paks on Saturday. With a big Europa League match taking place in the coming week, Vidi were keen to get something out of the match to keep them up among the front runners. Paks recently named Tomislav Sivic as their new manager, and he promised that his side would attack Videoton. Around 200 supporters made the journey from Fehervar to support their side, who played this match in their all white strip. Both Debrecen and Győri ETO picked up maximum points over the weekend, to keep up the momentum at the top of the league.

Bozovics was called upon after just 2 minutes, when he comfortably caught a 30 meters strike from the Paks forward. He was in the right place again to collect a cross, two minutes later. Balazs Toth did well to release Gyurcso on the right, and his cross eventually went out off a defender for a corner. Vayer moved inside after 8 minutes, and his long high ball into the box, went over the head of Vinicius, with Tokoli first controlling the ball, before slipping the ball in to the back of the net to give the home side an early lead.

Vidi's biggest chance arrived after 19 minutes, as Walter did well to escape down the left wing, with his dangerous cross just failing to connect with Nikolics, with the ball finally arriving at the feet of Gyurcso, who shot over the bar from an angle. The remainder of the first half was mainly played out in midfield, with few chances to report. Both Toth and Lazok did have efforts for both sides, as referee Szabo blew for half time.

Paulo Sousa brought on Mitrovics for Neto at the break. The first chance of the second half came after 48 minutes. Gyurcso showed good pace down the right, before leaving a defender on the floor, with his eventual cross just failing to once again find the feet of Nikolics. Paks thought that they had gone 2-0 up, after Fiola headed home a free kick after 50 minutes. However, Szabo ruled the effort out for offside. Mitrovics played Sandor in after 55 minutes, who turned inside the box, before hitting a left foot shot from 12 meters, which Csernyanszki held on to. The Paks keeper was in the thick of the action 4 minutes later, after Walter's ball to Niko resulted in a right foot effort finding the keeper. Paks remained inside their half for large periods of the second half, with Vidi continuing to put the home side under pressure. Both Sandor and then Gyurcso had shots at goal midway through the second period. Mitrovics went close with a free kick on 72 minutes, which mirrored his earlier effort against Siofok.

Vidi finally drew level after 76 minutes. Csernyanski saved Sandor's shot, but the rebound fell kindly to Kovacs, who was quickest to react as he hit the ball in to the net. Vidi pressed forward in search of the winner, with the biggest chance coming in time added on. Kovacs found Vinicius on the left, and the defender tried to centre the ball when he was better placed to shoot at goal. The danger was cleared by the home defender, with the final action of the match happening in the 94th minute. Fiola went down in the box, but referee Szabo sent him off for diving. Vidi produced a good second half performance, and were not that far away from picking up all three points. Sporting Lisbon now await Videoton on Thursday evening, for another evening of Europa league football.
