Vidi make the visit to sixth place MTK on Saturday

Another three important points are on offer for Vidi at the weekend.

MTK were relegated back in the 2018/19 season after finishing bottom in the NB I. However, they confidently returned to the first division last season after ending the season with a large points haul. They led the division going into the Corona Virus break, which did not see the NB II league conclude the campaign.

Summer transfers resulted in plenty of movement for the Budapest club. A total of 10 players arrived with 23 leaving in the opposite direction. Many of those went out in loan deals.

The new 2020/2021 season kicked off with the big derby game with FTC. MTK played well and the match ended in a 1-1 draw. Only Vidi have gone on since to take points off Ferencvaros.

The second game of the season saw them face cup winners Bp Honved. Michael Boris' team won 3-1. They then suffered a loss of form in September losing at home to ZTE 3-0. A visit to Paks ended in a heavy 4-0 defeat. League newcomers Budafok also came away from MTK with a 2-1 win. The blue and whites have done better over the last three games. There was a 3-0 win away at Puskas Academy and a 1-1 draw with Kisvarda. Most recently they won 4-0 away at Ujpest to collect all three points.

That sees MTK in sixth place with 3 wins, 3 draws and 3 defeats. Daniel Gera and Bojan Miovski both have 4 goals to their names.
