Videoton will travel to the Pete Andras stadium in Kazincbarcika, on Sunday 24th October. The charity match will kick off at 14:30pm, as Vidi do what they can to help the disaster victims.
The entire proceeds from the game will go to the disaster victims of the recent sludge catastrophe, which hit small towns in the west of Hungary. The money will go to the Banreve storm victims, with Videoton promising to send a full strength squad for the match.
Akos Elek, Vidi's international midfielder, together with his brother, Bence, both come from Banreve. Their parents also live in the small village, which was severly hit by big storms in the spring. Several homes were destroyed, in the village, which lies 250km from Fehervar. Club owner Istvan Garancsi, together with Videoton manager Gyorgy Mezey reacted straight away to arrange this charity match. Kazincbarcika BSC will be the opponents on Sunday, who were Akos Elek's previous club. The team coach will head straight for the area following Saturday's league game at Kecskemet. The squad will stay at the Balneo Hotel Zsori Wellness hotel. A donation will be handed over at half time to the local major, Gabor Hajdu.
