Videoton will meet Debrecen in the 67th first division match between the two on Saturday

Vidi managed to win a first division game away at Debrecen this May for the first time in 5033 days. They then celebrated their second league title success a day later.

The two sides have met so far in 66 matches in the top division. The first encounter between the two clubs came back in the 1979/1980 season in week 4 of that campaign. That was played at the Sostoi stadium on the 5th December 1979 and the game ended in a 1-1 draw. The record reads 66 matches with 22 wins and 30 having been won by Debrecen. The remaining 14 have been drawn producing an overall goal difference of 99-79 in favour of Saturday's opponents.

Vidi did not have the best of records at the home of Debrecen and went between 2001 and 2015 without managing a win. They could not even pick up a point from 2003-2015 at the Loki stadium. The record is reversed with Debrecen not winning for 19 years in Szekesfehervar from 1981-2000! Those 14 league games in Fehervar saw Vidi win 11 and share the points in the other 3 games.
