Videoton eased to their first friendly victory in Spain on Tuesday afternoon. They came up against local side CF Chiclana, who are going for promotion to the Spanish third division. Manager Gyorgy Mezey went with the following line up in the first half: Sebők – Lázár, Vaskó, Milanovics, Andics – Nagy (Lencse), Sándor, Djordjic, Polonkai – Vujovics, Alves. The first 45 minutes saw Vidi manage to score four goals, to put the game beyond their Spanish hosts. The manager gave each of his players 45 minutes, with the exception of Damir Milanovics, who played the entire match. The second half saw a completely new side with Gyorgy Mezey deciding on the following line up of: Bozsovics – Szolnoki, Lipták, Milanovics, Hidvégi – Gosztonyi, Farkas (Ponczók), Elek, Szakály – Vasziljevics, Nikolics. The Hungarian side went on to find the back of the net eight times in the second period, to make the final score 12-1. So Vidi have kicked off their week away in Spain in fine style, but they will also be coming up against far tougher opponents over the coming days.
