Videoton - Josko Reid 0-0

Videoton play out a goaless draw in the friendly match in Austria

Manager Gyorgy Mezey went with the following starting line-up: Tujvel – Milanovics, Lipták, Horváth, Hidvégi – Gosztonyi, Sándor, Farkas, Szakály – Lencse, Alves. The first half was short of any real chances as both sides tried to unlock the other. It wasn't until the 31st minute that the Austrian side came up with the first shot at goal. A move from the right ended with a good cross into the middle, which saw the forward fail to connect with the ball. The defence in front of keeper Tujvel were able to deal with the danger and cleared it. VIdi then had a good claim for a penalty, with striker Lencse going down in the box, but the Austrian referee did not see any foul.

There were several changes made for the second half with the following side starting: Tujvel – Lázár, Lipták, Horváth, Andics – Sitku, Sándor (Margitics), Milanovics, Polonkai – Vujovics, Nikolics. However, the second half continued much in the same way as the first 45 minutes. Vidi's forward line failed to trouble the home keeper during the match. Although Videoton were technically better than Josko Reid, the Austrian outfit made up for this with their physical strength. The final 0-0 result was probably a fair reflection on the game.
