Sandor Torghelle and Videoton FC agree mutual split

The former international forward wanted more first team football.

Sandor Torghelle joined Videoton FC in January 2012, going on to make 67 appearances, which resulted in 12 goals. He has played just 67 minutes out of the 14 league matches so far this season. The situation has not proved valuable for either player or club, which is why Videoton have today mutually broken up the playing contract of the 31 year old.

"Sandor Torghelle is a person with a great mentality and a player with a strong fighting spirit. We currently have several forwards who are ahead of him in the battle to get into the team. Seeing as Sandor is not among the younger players, I fully understand his wishes to play more football, and I would like to wish him the best in his career" - commented manager José Gomes.

„I feel that I can still have some good moments in football. I drifted further away from the starting team over the recent period. I have offers from other clubs, so I am sure that I can become useful to one of those clubs" - said Sandor Torghelle.

Videoton FC would like to wish Sandor Torghelle the best in the remainder of his playing career.
