MTK came from behind to pick up all three points on Sunday evening.
Vidi were in action on Sunday evening at the MOL Arena Sosto against MTK. The blue and whites most recently lost 3-1 away at Ujpest but they went through to the next round of the Hungarian cup during the week after beating Kazincbarcika. Vidi suffered a lose away at FTC last Sunday but also made it through in the cup during the week with a win away at Vasas.
Gabor Marton chose the following eleven for the match: Kovács D. - Nego, Musliu, Stopira, Fiola, Hangya - Houri, Alef, Dárdai - Petryak, Zivzivadze.
The first chance fell to the visitors with Varga curling his free kick towards goal. Kovacs confidently collected the ball following a header. It was Vidi that took the lead after 8 minutes: Alef playing Dardai down the right win and his ball back across the face of the goal fell to Hangya, who sent a low shot just inside the near post to make it 1-0.
Schon sent a 13th minute shot at goal, which was saved by Kovacs. Zivzivadze then sent his effort into the side netting from a tight angle after 16 minutes. Zivzivadze tried again after 27 minutes with a right foot strike, but it did not cause problems for the visiting keeper. Alef played in Petryak with a good ball after 36 minutes, but he could not beat the keeper, who raced out from his goal and managed to get his foot to the ball to clear the danger.
Moments later and Dardai showed good skills inside the visitors boy before shooting with his right foot, but it was blocked by a defender. Petryak sent a shot from 15 meters wide just before half time. Mezei's free kick produced a good save from Daniel Kovacs. The teams went in at the break with Vidi leading 1-0.
The second half started with a nice attack that saw Petryak shoot at the end but it was not on target. Schon showed good skill down the left before playing in a good ball into the middle for the arriving Varga, whose shot brought a very good save out of Kovacs. Four minutes later and the team from the capital levelled: Varga's free kick from 19 meters out came back off the bar and it was Miovski who reacted quickest to head into the back of the net 1-1.
Zivzivadze received a good ball from Dardai after 57 minutes and he shot at goal from a tight angle, but Mijatovic saved. Funsho connected with Schon inside the Vidi box and the MTK player fell to the floor. The referee pointed at the spot and Varga sent Kovacs the wrong way to make it 1-2 to the visitors.
We tried hard to get back into the game in the final 15 minutes but without creating a real chance. There was enough time for Alef to see red for a handball that meant a second yellow card. It was MTK that held out to pick up all three points with a 2-1 win.
