Videoton play their first friendly of the summer pre-season.
Vidi will be in friendly action on Thursday when they play Albanian side KF Skënderbeu. The match will be played in Slovenia in Gornja Radgona with kick off at 17:30pm. It will also be new manager Marko Nikolic' first game in charge of last seasons third place team from Albania.
The Korce club from south east Albania was formed in 1909. They were first named Vllazëria Korçë in 1909. In 1925, it took on its current name following the merger of several clubs, and the name was changed to Skënderbeu Korçë, after Albania's national hero Skanderbeg. Skënderbeu have won the domestic league 7 times and also lifted the cup on 4 occasions.
The biggest success came in 2015/16 when they became the first team from Albania to qualify for the Champions League play off. However, they lost against Dinamo Zabreg over two legs and therefore ended up in the Europa League group stage.
Thursday's opponents have been at their training camp since the 8th June and have played one friendly game against Slovenian third division side NK Sampion. That was on the 12th June and they suffered a 3-2 defeat. The most valuable player in their squad is Albanian international Hamdi Salihi who scored 15 goals last season. The Skënderbeu squad includes 10 foreign players but their manager is Albanian IIir Daja, who previously managed Dinamo Tirana, Besa Kavej and KF Tirana.
