Paulo Sousa saw his side produce the needed second half performance to see off Vasas
Videoton beat Vasas 4-1 on Sunday afternoon at the Sostoi stadium. The two managers spoke at the post-match press conference, sharing their thoughts on the game.
Paulo Sousa: "The win against Vasas was important, because the boys gave each other confidence, and for the great deal of work they completed. We reacted well to the goal we conceded, and we managed to level fairly quickly. We were also good with our set pieces during the game. This has been notable of us over the course of the season. We then played with more intensity during the second half, and had several serious chances, and we could have won by an even bigger margin in the end. I would like to wish my colleague lots of luck for the remainder of the season."
Marijan Vlak: "I would like to congratulate Videoton FC! We played against one of the best sides in Hungary today. We held ourselves well during the first half. We then conceded two quick goals at the start of the second half, and this turned the events of the game their way. We let in such goals from set pieces, that a first division side cannot afford to do. The same applied to the third goal, and we simply cannot make mistakes like that. We need to prepare ourselves for the last six games. If we can play as we did in the first half, then we can achieve nice success."
