Paulo Sousa: "We could have won it at the end"

Paulo Sousa spoke about the 1-1 draw at Paks on Saturday evening

Paulo Sousa: We did not manage to produce the tempo, which we would have liked to in the first half. We made changes as a result in the second half. We played with more intensity in the second period, and dominated the game. A team has 90 minutes to win a match, but we only played for the second 45 minutes, which is needed for a win. We have played many games this month, and we had to stand on our feet in many areas. This is a new feeling for the players to handle, and I hope we get through the barrier, and learn from this period. If someone was to review our last few games, they would see that we have been the better side, and only the goals were missing, which I hope will come before long. The most important thing now is for the players to regenerate, and to focus and prepare in full strength for the Europa League match with Sporting.

Tomiszlav Szivics: We had several problems before the match, with three of my players becoming sick. We played very well in the first half, and the team did everything, which I had asked of them. Things were fine right up to the 70th minute, and we needed to make changes to our midfield, but I had no possibilities. We must not forget that we played against Videoton, who are much better than us physically. There two quality changes made a big plus to them, which we could not reply to. Despite all of this, I still feel that we deserved to get a point. As I have mentioned previously, I would not like to deal with the match officials, so I will not comment on the sending off and the goal, which was not given.
