Vidi travel to Budapest at the weekend in search of three points.
In the 15th round of the OTP Bank League, our final away match in 2021, sees us travel to MTK Budapest for a match that will take place on Saturday at 19:30 at the New Hidegkuti Nándor Stadium. This is the second time this season we will face the blue and whites from the capital, in August we won 2-1 at home with Kodro's double.
MTK are 9th in the table after 14 games. With 4 wins, 3 draws and 8 defeats, they have scored 12 goals so far this season (the fewest in the league) and conceded 25. Their top scorer is Bojan Miovski from North Macedonia with 6 goals, followed by Gheorghe Grozav from Romania with 4, while Márk Kovácsréti and Zalán Vancsa have scored 1 each.
Our Saturday opponents have already changed coaches twice this season: the Italian Giovanni Costantino was sacked after the defeat in Zalaegerszeg in round 8, and after that Teodoru Vassilis took temporary charge for four league games. He was succeeded by former Vidi manager Gábor Márton, who picked up his first win for the Blue and Whites against Újpest on Sunday.
MTK are no longer in contention for the MOL Hungarian Cup: after a 7-0 win against Sényő, Kisvárda beat them 4-1 to knock them out.
