Michael Boris and Gábor Híres assessed the MOL Fehérvár FC - Mezőkövesd Zsóry FC league match

Our head coach and the acting coach of Mezőkövesd gave an interview to journalists after the match.

Michael Boris:

It was not our best game, I have to admit that. Mezőkövesd played with five defenders, they gave us the initiative. Our right side was more active than the left and we scored a nice goal. We conceded an avoidable goal at the beginning of the second half, then we had to fight hard for the winning goal. We were not precise enough, there were a lot of mistakes in the passes, sometimes the ball was inaccurate, sometimes long... It's one of those periods, we are not soaring, but the players made a great effort to win and it paid off. Towards the end of the game we played with a more attacking line-up after the substitutions, with Lednev in the middle, Palko playing left wing-back for probably the first time in his life, and he gave us a very nice goal assist, and we attacked with two strikers up front. It is true that Mezőkövesd had some chances, but I was thinking about winning all the time. We got the three points and we can be happy with that, but not necessarily with the way we played today.

Híres Gábor:

We tried to prepare the team for today's game in the same way as we have done so far. We have not had any problems with tactics and strength, I don't think we will have any problems today, but we are still struggling with luck. From a stable defence we tried to get the ball to Vidi's goal with counter-attacks or combination play, and sometimes we succeeded, the boys did their job honestly, there were some good individual performances. We made maybe three major mistakes, two of which were good goals for Fehérvár. I am sorry about that, because I don't say we could have won the game, but I feel we deserved a draw.
