Mate Patkai: It would have been better not to have scored that scissor kick and win

The midfielder scored a wonderful opening goal but it was not enough as Vasas emerged winners.

Videoton went from leading 1-0 on Saturday evening to losing 3-1 at the home of Vasas. We spoke to Mate Patkai, who scored a wonderful overhead kick.

"I have never scored from an overhead kick, but I wish that I would not have scored today and won instead. I would have been much more happier. We have not conceded goals from set-pieces for several games now. Sadly we let in two today. However, we do prepare beforehand for such situations. We knew that Vasas have tall and well built players. We spoke about trying to put the ball out for a throw in but we did not manage that. They were avoidable goals overall. We had chances in the game and also penalty decisions that went against us. We should not have gone in at half time with the score at 2-1. We are angry about this as the second half would have turned out differently. With regards to the upcoming Honved game: it does not count at all that we will have players missing through injury or suspension. This team has to always go out onto the pitch with the aim of winning" - commented Mate Patkai.
