A second half goal from Istvan Kovacs was enough to split the two sides on Wednesday.
Vidi were in Hungarian cup action on Wednesday with a first leg match in Szombathely. The game kicked off in about 10c autumn weather.
It was the visitors that started the more active. Patkai had a shot that went over after 2 minutes. Kovacs then released Feczesin shortly after, but keeper Rozsa was first to the ball. Haladas also had their chances in the first period. There was 10 minutes on the clock when Medgyes had a chance, but he did not choose the best solution. The crowd inside the stadium saw a fairly balanced game with both sides trying to get the upper hand. Martinez was the next home player to have a chance in front of goal. His 25th minute effort with his head ended up with keeper Danilovics dealing with it. The 39th minute saw a cross from the right being headed by Feczesin in to the path of Poloskei, but the ball was just too far for him and Rozsa was on hand to collect the ball. Vinicius had a chance towards the end of the first half from 5 meters out, but his flick went over. Batarelo then shot wide for the home side from inside the box.
Haladas were forced back at the start of the second half. Feczesin had a short range shot blocked by defender Feher after 49 minutes. Lang then saved well a minute later after Petro tried his luck. Vidi went ahead after 54 minutes when a pass from Suljic ended in the path of Kovacs, who broke into the box and hit a right footed shot that found its way in to the back of the net! (0-1).
Patkai then fed Feczesin with a lovely ball on 63 minutes, but his close range shot was gathered by Rozsa. Haladas tried hard to get back in to the match in the remaining 20 minutes. However, they could not really create a clear cut chance as Vinicius marshalled a good defensive line for the visitors.
Vidi won the first leg 1-0 and will go into the return leg on the 18th November with an advantage. The red and blues are next in OTP league action on Saturday with a home match against DVTK.
