MOL Fehervar suffered a 1-3 home defeat on Saturday evening.
A total of 27 days have passed by since the last home match at the MOL Arena Sosto. The Puskas Academy FC were the visitors in match 13 of the league season on Saturday evening.
Manager Marko Nikolic fielded the following eleven: Kovácsik - Nego, Juhász, Musliu, Hangya - Pátkai, Nikolov - Petryak, Pantics, Milanov - Futács. The visiting side lined up with manager Zsolt Hornyak playing: Hegedüs - Szolnoki, Meissner, Hadzhiev, Spandler - van Nieff - Gyurcsó, Henty, Knezevic, Mebrahtu - Vanecek.
The game started poorly for the home side with Puskas Academy taking the lead on 3 minutes: The ball bounced in front of Vanecek, who first lifted the ball before sending it into the top corner past Kovacsik (0-1).
Vidi almost drew level after 6 minutes when Petryak played in Patkai, before Milanov took the ball to the goal line and sent in a sharp cross, but it was just to short for Futacs. The first real chance arrived after 18 minutes when Nego sent the ball in and Futacs met it with his head to send the ball crashing against the bar. Things became worse after 27 minutes when PAFC extended their lead. Knezevic rolled the ball into the path of Gyurcso, who found the back of the net from 14 meters (0-2).
The Felcsut side had another chance after 31 minutes. Henty showed pace down the left, but he could not deceive Juhasz but the ball still fell to Vanecek who tried to take the ball between the two central defenders, but Kovacsik dealt with the danger.
The remaining first half occurred without any major event with the two sides going into the dressing room with Vidi trailing by two goals. The second half started with two changes to the home side. Milanov and Pantic did not come out and were replaced by Kovacs and Hodzic respectively. Knezevic had a 3 against 2 situation on 50 minutes and the move ended with the ball going wide from close range. Two minutes later and Gyurcso was on the ball in a counter attack and he found Henty, who shot straight at Kovacsik.
Futacs had a chance to pull one back but he shot over as the action continued. Knezevic showed individual skill to break into the box, which resulted in him being fouled and the referee pointing to the spot. Musliu entered the match officials book. The Croatian forward aimed for the bottom corner but keeper Kovacsik did well to dive and save the penalty.
Zsori was the final substitution for Vidi as he replaced Petryak for the final half hour. There were 64 minutes on the clock when Gyurcso went down the left and found Henty in the middle, who turned but shot wide. Knezevic found Gyurcso behind the home defence after 71 minutes and he pulled it wide of the keeper before placing the ball into the empty net.
Vidi managed to pull one back near the end. Zsori took a corner and it was met by Juhasz to make it 1-3. PAFC still had a chance at the other end with Knezevic shooting over but there was still time for Hodzic to curl the ball wide from 17 meters in the final minute. The whistle blew and Vidi suffered a 3-1 home defeat.
