Marko Nikolic: We picked up a deserved win

The two managers spoke shortly after the final whistle on Saturday evening.

Marko Nikolic:

"I congratulate my players for today's win. We have picked up 21 points from a possible 24. We continue to lead the table going into the international break. We deserved the win today but things were not that comfy on the bench. In football when you do not convert the many chances into goals, it can come back to punish you. Debrecen had a free kick in the last minute and fortunately they missed it. The international break sees us with just 11 players remaining here at the club. We will play a friendly with Vasas next Saturday and then prepare for what will be a big game at Mezokovesd. I want to thank our supporters for their backing."

Herczeg András:

"Sadly we conceded a goal after 9 minutes and this was the third time when our opponents have scored an early goal. This meant we had to play with extra energy. We managed to level the score and we had chances in the first half. We were not that precise in the second period and we had balls that should have seen us play better. Then Fehervar again scored and although we continued to attack, we could not score the equaliser. I do not know if there was more in the match but I feel that our players have nothing to be ashamed of and they gave their all. Szecsi suffered an injury at half time and he had to come off. This is the kind of period we are in and we are losing games by a single goal. The small things are not going our way. We have fallen into a negative spiral and we must not look too far ahead. We must focus on the next game in hand. Well done to Fehervar but do not write Debrecen off!"
