The two managers shared their thoughts on Tuesday's friendly game in Spain.
Marko Nikolic:
It was a competitive game, which is fine as we need these kind of games now. We do not need easy friendly games. The players are that much fresher now than they were in the first training camp. We scored two goals and also created chances against good opponents. The Russian U21 side defeated Chinese first division team Tienjin 5-0 a couple of days ago. I know this side as they were in the qualification group with the young Serbian team. This was a good game for us and we will have a tougher opponent in a couple of days when we play Krasnodar. The remaining three friendly matches will see us play as if they were competitive matches. We will not be making many substitutions. There was a good tempo today and the players ran a lot. They were tactically disciplined and this was the most important sign for us in the game. When we play with discipline, the results always come that much easier.
Yevgeni Bushmanov (Russian manager):
I felt that my young side coped well. We have some really talented players and a couple will surely progress to the senior side in a couple of years. Today's game gave us things to learn from and this is an important step in our preparations.
