Maribor's Brazilian striker is hopeful ahead of the big game in Győr

Marcos Tavares who has played 101 games in the colours of Maribor, considers Videoton a big club

The NK Maribor delegation will travel on Wednesday morning, to Győr, the scene of the Europa League match. NK Maribor held a press conference on Tuesday, where their Brazilian player Marcos Tavares, (pictured), who has scored 10 goals in 100 appearances so far, spoke about the game.

"Videoton are a big club, and are one of the main teams in their country. We have prepared for them, and we know what they are capable of, and our manager Darko Milanic, has given us lots of information. Participating in the Europa League is a great chance for us, and everyone is fully aware of their responsibilities. We will be travelling to Hungary, full of motivation, and we would like to return home with a good result."

NK Maribor manager, Darko Milanic, replied to a journalists question and revealed: He is counting on Videoton trying to put pressure on his team, but he feels that by using good tactics, they can get a positive result in Győr. Other news from our Europa League opponents is the news that Slovenian international defender, Suad FIlekovic will shortly be leaving Maribor, according to the transfermarkt.de website. The club have so far not confirmed this.
