Former Vidi player Ferenc Horvath took over as manager of Győr during the winter, but has yet to win a game with his new club.
There was not much movement in the transfer market at the home of last seasons champions Győr, during the winter break. They brought in a goalkeeper, Krisztian Pogacsics, while former players Tarmo Kink, Janos Lazok, Pilibaitis and Andras Simon all departed Győr. This means that the spine of the team remains unchanged from the autumn season.
Former manager Attila Pinter took over as head coach of the national team, which forced Győr to search for a new manager. They chose Paks manager, and former Vidi goalscorer, Ferenc Horvath, who made his debut on the bench in the away match at Ferencvaros, which ended 1-1. Sunday's visitors will not be too enthusiastic to remember their last league match, which saw them lose 5-2 at home to Pecs. Győri ETO have 31 points from 19 matches so far, sitting in third place, having scored 30 and conceded 25.
