The 22 year old striker is better known as Zé Luis having joined from SC Braga.
José Luís Mendes de Andrade was born on the 24th January 1991 in the Cape Verde Islands.
The 185cm tall right footed forward has made a total of 21 appearances for Sporting Braga so far. Zé Luis scored the deciding goal when Braga beat Vitoria Setubal in the final match of the season. He also played in European competition for them, as well as in a league cup match. The forward was a member of the Portuguese side's second team, which plays it's football in the second division, scoring 4 goals in 13 games during the 2012-2013 season. The forward arrived from Gil Vicente last summer, where he had played two season's for them, scoring an impressive 14 goals in 26 games.
He has played seven times for the Cape Verde Islands scoring one goal in those games.
Zé Luis gave a short interview to Vidi.hu.
You were present at the Europa League first leg match last week at the Sostoi. How did you like the atmosphere, and what is your first impression of Videoton FC?
I really enjoyed what I experienced at the Sostoi stadium during last weeks match, and also what I have seen about the football club so far. It appears as if I will feel good being at Vidi. Everything is in place for us to be able to concentrate just on the football.
Do you know anything about Videoton FC?
Naturally I have heard about Videoton FC, as they played twice against Sporting Lisbon last season.
Who is you role model and your favourite player?
Didier Drogba.
Did you arrive with someone else to Hungary?
I have arrived alone at the moment, but my wife and daughter will follow shortly.
What are your targets as a player for Videoton FC?
I know that the championship title is the aim, so I would like to help the team to as many wins as we can get. I can do this by scoring many goals!
What is your message to the Videoton supporters?
You always have to be behind the players, as they can help the team to further success!
