José Gomes: We learned a lot from the match with Dnyipro today

Vidi manager José Gomes gave his thoughts on the friendly match in Spain.

"We were up against a very good side on the pitch. Such good teams, which have quality players, means that they will always take advantage of the opponents mistakes, and punish them. This happened with us today. We played with many mistakes, especially around our own box, and we were punished with goals from Dynipro. This was a very important friendly match for us, and an important lesson for us looking ahead. This is why I wanted to play against such strong opponents, so that the mistakes could come out at this point. We did not stop training leading up to this match. We had a hard training session yesterday, although I am not dealing with this at the moment. I would like that the players suffer now and feel the difficulties at this point. We have time to repair these problems, which appeared during the match. The biggest lesson is that we need to concentrate for the full 90 minutes, especially against such a strong side. Today's game helped us to understand the problems that the players have, and the problems that we could deal with during training. Those players who did not play in the first half, could see our exact problems, and that we need to focus for each second against such a quality team. They went out on the pitch and concentrated fully, which is why we played better in the second 45 minutes. We also had chances to score in the second period. I will say once again that the biggest lesson in today's game, was that all of the player need to concentrate from the referee's first whistle until the final second."
