Both managers spoke at the post match press conference on Wednesday evening
José Gomes: "It is not easy for me to talk about this match. Only one person is responsible for today's result and that is me. It is not down to the weather, match officials or players, just me. Ferencvaros played as we had expected them to. They deserved to win the league cup. They produced what they have up until now. We played the worst that we have done since I arrived to the club. Ferencvaros deserved their win. I felt that only one of the goals was not valid, which was the first. Bode made contact with the most sensitive part of Vinicius' body, which is how he got in to a goalscoring position. We managed to quickly level the game, but Ferencvaros were the better side today. Just as I say after we win a game, the same applies when we lose: This match is now in the past, and we have to look ahead, and concentrate on our next match ahead."
Ricardo Moniz: "It was a really good game between two good sides. There were two teams involved that like to play attractive attacking football, so you could describe this game as a dream final. Videoton are ahead of us, as they began to build their team earlier, which is why we give them respect. It is very important for us to know that we beat a really good team, but we will begin Sunday's league match with the scores at 0-0. I am sure that Videoton will be looking to win the game, just as we would like to. The game will be especially important due to the Europa league qualification. I pay big respect to José Gomes, that he has taken responsibility for today's game, which is very rare in football. I feel that he did everything tactically, which he could have, and there were very slight things that determined important moments. Perhaps we were a little bit fresher. It happens many times that teams tire towards the end of the championship, with plenty of energy going into the coninuous attacking football, than is the case with defending. Videoton are very valuable to Hungarian football, and they showed this in the Europa league, which is why we will not be thinking about today's result when we play against them on Sunday."
