Ivanovski: I am starting a new chapter in my life with Vidi

We spoke to the Macedonian international forward who arrived at Vidi in January. He spoke about pre-season, friendly matches and also about the Hungarian championship.

We are nearing the end of the second training camp. How have the last few weeks gone for you with your new team and how do you feel?

I feel really good at Vidi, with the players, coaching staff and everyone connected with the club being very kind and accepting. The training sessions have been excellent, and we have been able to train in great surroundings and against very good teams. This is a new chapter in my career, and another step where I would like to have success. I have tried to give my best in both training and in games, as I would like to show that it was worth signing me.

The game against Samsung Suwon did not go the way we had expected, but the team played well against both Lokomotiv and Dinamo. How would you sum up these games?

They were very useful matches as we played against sides that are stronger but we stood our ground. We did not sit back and defend, and created several chances, with only the goals missing from our game, but it is correct to say that we were closer to winning the match against Dinamo. This shows that we can compete against any side.

What do you know about our opponents over the spring?

Naturally I have been researching in to the Hungarian championship and I know that Ferencvaros are the most popular team in Hungary. I also know that Debrecen have been the most successful over the last ten years. We will need to concentrate on both them and second placed MTK. Győr are also tough opponents in our first match in the spring. I worked together with Vasile Miriuta at CFR Cluj. I know him well and am sure that he has really prepared his team.

What is the biggest difference between Videoton and CFR?

I would say that Videoton are much better in the organization and financial departments, which is why I decided to move here. We are talking about two similar clubs, with both being strong and both being big names in Hungary and Romania.

Who will be waiting for you in Szekesfehervar when you arrive back home on Wednesday evening?

Sadly nobody at the moment, but I will not be alone for too long. My wife will arrive after our match on Saturday against Dunaszerdahely. I have found a flat so we will soon be able to start our joint life in Szekesfehervar.
