The two managers shared their thoughts on Saturday evenings league match.
Henning Berg:
"This was a good away match. The pitch was hard, especially on one side. This had an impact on the game as both sides were able to play better attacking football in the softer half. We played well in the first half and we should have scored. Debrecen came out for the second half and were more aggressive and their game improved. I feel that we did enough to get the win. We defended well in the second period and Adam Kovacsik also saved really well. I am satisfied with the result and especially satisfied with the mentality and attitude shown by the players. I am pleased that we managed to finally win away from home. There have been times when we have played better away than was the case today, but the most important is that the three points are ours."
Leonel Pontes:
"I did not feel that Vidi deserved the win. We had some clear cut chances, and the there was a big individual mistake leading up to our opponents goal. The team played well tactically and the game was balanced. We played better in periods than our opponents. The players did not deserve to lose today but sometimes there is no justice in football. We managed to place great pressure on the visiting team in the first half. However, we did not always make the right decision in the final third. One or two penalty decisions could have gone the other way and the referee was quick to stop the flow of the game. I would like to point out that it was not because of the referee that we lost 1-0 to Videoton."
