Sandor, who scored Vidi's goal, felt that things were going perfect for the first hour
Midfielder Gyorgy Sandor reflected back on the three points missed at Debrecen, on Sunday evening. "We prepared with perfect tactics, which showed in the first half, as the home team failed to create a real chance on our goal. It is true that they had more of the ball, and it may have appeared a little, that they were dictating play, but this part of the tactics. We then went on to take the lead in the 56th minute. Debrecen then upped the tempo and put us under pressure. We could not get out of this for several minutes. I did not see the penalty form where I was, so I cannot say whether it was a correct decision. They equalised with this goal, and then they were quickly ahead.
We tried to go forward again, and as a result, we opened up more at the back. Debrecen then rubber stamped the game with their third goal... I do not know what the reason is, but we began the game in the same way last season. We led, and had the game in our hands, but in the end we did not come away with the 3 points. We were strong and determined, yet we were the once that looked harrased after taking the lead. Any positives? The first 60 minutes of the match, when we played with stability. This was the first time that we lined up with 3 central defenders. I felt that Tamas Vasko proved himself at the back, and that he will become a useful member of the team. I was sad, however, that Gabor Horvath looked to have played his final game in a Videoton shirt. I really wish him a successful career abroad, and hope he only comes back to Hungary, at the end of his career."
