Gyorgy Mezey reacts to Sunday's league match

The views of the Videoton manager following the 0-0 draw

: "There was a time in  football, when a point away from home meant success. It is an unrealistic expectation that this Videoton side has to always win everywhere, and play good football at the same time. You can feel it in the air, and this could be felt in today's match. Today's draw on a difficult pitch has disappointed many. However, I cannot agree with them. I am not satisfied naturally, but I accept that today's game turned out the way it did. Vasas are fighting for their lives to avoid relegation. This was a typical "get the ball and hit it forward" type of game. The pitch did not make it possible to play an attractive game on it. I am not complaining, and I am not putting the two lost points on the state of the pitch. I am only stating the facts. Another fact was that several players failed to pick up the tempo of the game, which was needed against Vasas. Andre Alves played well today, fighting for every ball and giving his maximum, trying to get the most out of the chances he created."

: "I am pleased that we have managed to pick up a point in our first game, against a serious side. This will give us a real push and help us move away from the problems that we got ourselves into in the autumn season. I hope that this point will give us belief and confidence to move forward. We were involved in a battle today, and both sides played at a good pace. I felt that the draw was a fair result."
