Geresi: We won at the home of a very massive Honved

"We knew that it would be a very hard game against Honved, which it turned out to be. Our aim was to get the 3 points and we had to do a lot to end up getting them. We came away from the match against a massive Honved side with the win. I am happy that I scored the winning goal and helped my home town club to their latest success. I would not have thought before the season started that I would score 4 goals after 11 matches. I will not plan ahead and only concentrate on our next opponents and try to do the best I can on the pitch. It is also good that we are ahead of Ferencvaros in the league table after a year. However, we are still a long way from the end of the season, and as the manager says, the league is a marathon. The league title will go to the team that is sitting on top of the league table at the end of the season. This is our main aim to make sure this happens. We will now have a 3 week break in the league season, but I will not get too much time off to relax. I will be travelling with the U21 squad and we will be playing 2 qualifiers shortly. The first will be at home against Portugal. The second will be in Greece. Neither game will be easy for us, but I know I will give the national team everything if I am picked." - commented Krisztian Geresi to the clubs website.
