Discovery of the season - Geresi comes second in the csakfoci.hu list

Krsztian Geresi made his first division debut on the 28th November against MTK. He then scored his first goal a couple of weeks later on the 12th December. It did not only bring 3 points against Paks, but it was also a historic final goal at the Sostoi stadium before demolition and a new stadium.

Geresi then became a regular player over the spring season, helping the team with assists and goals. He has been named in second place in the TOP10 list by football website csakfoci.hu.

"Videoton had a very inconsistent performance for a long period during the season, especially in the first half of the year. Krisztian Geresi scored regularly for the second team, (10 goals in total), before he was given the chance in the first team. Then the young winger made it onto the substitutes bench, and always added a boost to Vidi's game. He then started to get more serious roles as time went on, scoring goals and also providing assists. "I was surprised to finish in second place in the TOP 10 list, as I only broke into the first team squad in the winter. I am at the same time delighted for this recognition. I felt that when I was given the chance to play, I was able to help the team. I could not have done this alone and if Vidi had not performed as well as we did towards the end of the season, I could not have performed as well as I did in games. I want to thank the coaching staff for giving me the chance in games. I hope that I can play even more in the future and regularly be in the team.
