Comfortable friendly win to kick off the new season

Vidi hit their Austrian opponents for six in their first friendly match of pre-season.

Pre-season friendly - Austria
1st half: Pajovic - Oliveira, Caneira, Papp, Mamadu - Uros Nikolic, Moris Enete - Zsótér, Kleinheisler, Paraiba - Lupeta
2nd half: Tujvel - Szolnoki, Vinícius, Szekeres, Stopira - Tóth, Gomes - Gyurcsó, Kovács, Álvarez - Nikolics

The game was played in front of a surprisingly large crowd, who had turned out to watch local side Jenbach entertain Videoton FC, who were playing the first of their three friendly matches. There were over 20 Vidi supporters that had made the long journey to Tirol to back their favourite side. New signings Mamadu, Moris Enete and Mate Papp all began the game.

Vidi started the game well, taking the lead as early as the 3rd minute. Kleinheisler nicely brought Mamadu into the move on the left hand side, who curled the ball into the middle for the arriving Lupeta to head home from close range (0-1). The Fehervar side continued to direct things after the goal, with Oliveira making plenty of runs from his right back position, to support the attack when possible. Mamadu was also doing the same on the left hand side. José Gomes' side created plenty of chances, but the finishing was not always precise. Young Zsoter tested the opponent's keeper from long range more than once.

The second goal arrived just before half time on 42 minutes. Oliveria hit a high ball in from the right, which saw Zsoter hit a volley towards goal, with forward Lupeta making sure of the goal by sticking his leg out (0-2). There was still time for another Zsoter long range shot on 43 minutes, which came straight back off the Austrian crossbar.

José Gomes changed his entire side at the break, but the game continued from where it had left off in the first half. Gyurcso tested the keeper from long range, with the ball coming off the crossbar into the path of Nikolics, who made no mistake from close range to make it 0-3. The best goal of the game arrived after 69 minutes. Kovacs got hold of the ball on the half way line, before going on a good solo run, which ended with him releasing Alarez, who kept his composure to make it 0-4! Stopira's cross from the left on 80 minutes saw Gyurcso connect well to make it 0-5!
