Bálint Szabó returns to Vidi

Bálint Szabó was born on 18th January 2001 and came through the Vidi youth system since he was a little boy. In the 2017/2018 season, at the age of 16, he made his debut in the NB III team of Vidi II, and in the same season he also played in the NB I, so he can claim to be a player of our 2018 champion team. In the following season he was already a regular in our NB III team, and he spent most of the 2019/2020 season at our then-co-operation team, NB II Budaörs, where György Bognár was the professional director at the time, with whom "Balu" later worked for years in Paks.

He spent the first half of the 2020/2021 season with Kaposvár, then in NB II, and in the spring of 2021 - against Vidi in Sósto - he made his debut for Paks in NB I, scoring 9 goals and assisting the same number of goals in 70 NB I matches. Last season he won the MOL Hungarian Cup with Paks.

On the last day of the transfer window, our homegrown player was loaned to our team, and we wish him good luck in red and blue again!
