Vidi recorded a 1-0 first leg away win at the Groupama Arena on Wednesday evening.
"We got exactly what we were counting on in our Hungarian cup game with Ferencvaros. We knew that it would be a very hard game, which would probably see a goal settle the tie. Fortunately it was us who scored that goal. There was a 20 minute period inside the first half, which saw Ferencvaros place great pressure on us. We managed to remain fully concentrated and withstand that pressure. We then scored our goal at the best possible time, which was just before the half time whistle blew. We played tactical football in the second half, with our opponents unable to create a serious chance. We must not forget that nothing has been settled yet, with an equally difficult game awaiting us in the return leg at the start of March. We must also take in to account that we will not be playing FTC on our home pitch, but a neutral ground. It is very important that as many Videoton supporters make the journey to back us at the Pancho Arena. They will be the ones that help turn that stadium into our home environment. We have another tough match ahead of us on Saturday when we visit Ujpest. I know that the supporters will see an equally hard game as was the case in our cup match. I do not have to say what this win has done to our own confidence. We have become the second side to have won at the home of FTC this season. The other team that secured a win there are Ujpest, which must not be forgotten" - commented Andras Fejes to vidi.hu
