Our women’s first team defeated PVSK 13–0 in their final home game of the season. On Sunday afternoon, the league title will be on the line in Dunaújváros.
On Saturday afternoon, our women’s senior team hosted bottom-of-the-table PVSK at Sóstói Stadium in the NB II West group. Péter Andorka’s title-contending squad took the field with the starting lineup of Kovács B. – Horváth, Zuggó, Tóth, Kollár – Forró, Janus, Kovács L., Bognár, Kántor – Hajdu.
About 250 of our fans turned out for the match in sunny weather, and the girls did not disappoint the crowd with goals. Our first goal came in the 10th minute courtesy of Liza Kovács; in the first half, she scored once more, while Kata Forró scored three times, and Alexandra Tóth and Boglárka Zuggó each found the back of the net once. Our opponents rarely managed to cross the halfway line, and we continuously created chances in front of the Pécs goal.

Even after taking a 7-0 lead at halftime, Vidi’s scoring spree didn’t stop; after the break, Kata Forró scored two more goals (finishing with five), Petra Bognár scored a hat trick, and Mimi Horváth netted the final goal of the match in the 84th minute. In the end, our women’s senior team’s final home game of the season ended with a 13-0 Videoton victory, and after the final whistle, many fans collected autographs and took group photos with our players.

Our team will take the field at Dunaújváros’s home arena on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. A win will secure the championship for our team; a home victory will give Dunaújváros the gold medal; and in the event of a draw, the title will depend on whether our rival defeats Veszprém in the final round (when we have a bye).
