Both managers spoke about the game following the final whistle
Paulo Sousa: I would first of all like to congratulate my players and thanks the supporters, who turned out in such numbers, and created a great atmosphere inside the stadium. The tight match also showed just how much we needed their backing. I have already said that Slovan are a very tough team, with a wide repertoir of tactics, and plenty of alternatives in the way they play football. My team played with great maturity today, and reacted suitably to all the situations. We were better over the two games, achieving our aim, which was to go through.
Vladímir Weiss: This was a good and tough game, where we showed that we have good players in our team. However, there is no use of having quality players, if you cannot score goals. There were a couple of players who did not perform at the level we expect, for example Milinkovic, who is capable of more. I felt that the better team did not go through, but rather that side, which was able to score an away goal. I believe that we had more chances, but I admit that it was a very even battle. It is difficult to digest the game now, but we will have to pull ourselves together.
