Paulo Sousa was pleased that his side carried out what they had spoken about before the match
Paulo Sousa: Naturally I am very satisfied, as we have managed to beat a good side in a difficult match. We carried out what we had planned before the game: We allowed them to have certain territory, which was all part of the tactics that we had spoken about. I am very pleased that the players did what we had asked of them. We had the bigger chances in the match, and as time went by, we began to get a hold of the game. We also had further chances towards the end to score. We are currently in the lead, and we won the match without conceding a goal. We also know that a very difficult second leg awaits us next week. The players were very disciplined today, and they fought with great heart. It is a great honour to be able to work with players like this, and it is always worth getting up in the morning for these boys. I would also like to thank the supporters, who came out in these numbers to support the team. I would ask them to continue to believe in us, as we will be far more stronger, and be closer to the dreams, which we took a step closer towards today.
Trond Sollied: I am not satisfied with the performance of the team today, especially in the second half where we did not show what we are capable of. Sadly we failed to have many attacks in the match. I knew beforehand that Videoton are a very strong side. We conceded an unlucky goal, but I am still optimistic about our chances despite that. The tie is still very much open to go through. We are capable of much more on our home pitch, and I hope that we will show this.
