.Bartosz Grzelak was born on the 2nd November 1978 in Szczecin, Poland, but moved to Sweden with his family as a child. He started playing football at a very young age, making his debut in 1997 for one of Sweden's top teams, AIK Solna, and was also a member of the Swedish U19 national team, but he made an early move into coaching.
From 2009 to 2011, he was assistant coach at IK Frey Taby, before spending five-and-a-half years as head coach at the club just outside Stockholm. During his years there, he saw the team rise from the fourth to the second division, where he stabilised the Yellow and Black's position before becoming assistant coach at AIK in the summer of 2017. From there, his path led him to the position of assistant coach of the Swedish U21 national team, before taking over at AIK in August 2020, where he won a silver medal in his first full season - the gold medal was only decided by goal difference. He left Solna in August 2022, winning 41 of his 80 matches and drawing 18 and leaving the pitch without a point only 21 times.
