TRANSFER NEWS

Welcome to Vidi, Gergely Nagy!

Our club has moved to sign the experienced goalkeeper.

Gergely Nagy was born on the 27th May 1994 in Abony, where he started playing football. After finishing primary school, he was sent to the Fehér Miklós Football Academy in Győr, where he played for the age-group teams. On his 18th birthday, 27th May 2012, he made his debut in the NB I in a match between Pápa and ETO, which they won 2-0. Despite this, he had to wait more than a year for his next NB I match, replacing Győr starting goalkeeper Sasa Stevanovic as a substitute in the first half of an ETO - FTC match in August 2013.

His breakthrough came in the 2014/2015 season, when he was transferred to Dunaújváros, where he became the number one keeper and started 20 league games for the Dunaújváros club. He then spent three years at Vasas - reaching bronze medals with the Budapest side - and from there he made his way to Paks, where he played three seasons with a one-and-a-half-year stint in Laris. For the last year he has been back in Greece, keeping goal for PAS Lamia and PAS Giannina.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper, a multiple youth national team player, arrives at Vidi on a free transfer, where he will wear the number 1 shirt.
