PRESS CONFERENCE

we never lost faith for a moment; we had the will to fight

Tamás Pető and István Kriston gave their thoughts on the match, which ended in a 2–1 victory for Vidi.

Tamás Pető:

"We really deserved this victory. From the very first minute, we played in a manner befitting Videoton; we tried to put pressure on our opponents and created plenty of chances. Despite this, we conceded an unfortunate goal, which has become a recurring theme for us recently. However, we never lost faith for a moment; we had the will to fight. I think DVTK were our toughest opponents in the league so far, which is why this victory is particularly valuable. My players believed they could beat anyone. We’ve come through a very difficult week; congratulations to my players!”

István Kriston:

"We’re disappointed that we weren’t able to pick up any points. The team put in a huge effort, both as a unit and mentally, to ensure we could leave Fehérvár with at least one point. We took the lead and were confident that this would give the team the psychological boost needed to turn this downward spiral around. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out; we conceded two goals due to lapses in concentration, but I believe there were encouraging signs today that give us hope the team will eventually start climbing the table.”
