CSABÁ SPANDLER

We need to be focused throughout Sunday's league match

Csaba Spandler, who previously played football in Felcsút for more than a decade, was asked about what he expects to face from his former team on Sunday.

"The match between PAFC and Vidi is always a fierce encounter, and it is safe to say that in the last ten years this match has grown into a real county rivalry. I am happy that the Felcsút team has been successful on the international stage this summer. They have also made a good start to the league season. The secret of their success, I think, is that the backbone of the team has been together for many years and Zsolt Hornyák's personality is a kind of stability in Felcsút. Puskás Academy have a very dangerous attacking unit, Zsolt Nagy is in great form, as we saw against Fiorentina. Neutralising him will be a serious task for us, but they have two players of equal ability in almost every position in their attacking line. They are very good at going from defence to attack, we have to be very focused all the time because they can take advantage of even the slightest mistake. We also saw in the international cup that their point kicks are life threatening and we have to be prepared for that as well. Last year was the first time I played against Felcsút since I joined Vidi, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have any special feelings before the game, after all I've played football for the Puskás Academy for over ten years. I have a lot of friends and acquaintances in Felcsút to this day, but I can put that aside for 90 minutes on Sunday," Csaba Spandler told our website.
