We face DVTK for the third time this season

On Sunday at 15:30 Vidi will play at the home of DVTK. Our opponent was founded 114 years ago, on 6th February 1910. In the early days, the club was only involved in football, but after that, it became a club for more and more sports, which for economic and political reasons also became known as DiMÁVAG, Diósgyőri Vasas and the Diósgyőri Ironworks Exercise Club - according to dvtk.eu.

This will be the 81st match between the two teams in the top flight. Out of the 80 games so far, 44 have been won, 11 draws and there have been 25 Miskolc victories. The goal difference is 132-82 in our favour. Last time we met Diósgyőr in the MOL Hungarian Cup was on Wednesday last week, Gradisar's 95th minute goal gave us a 2-1 win and we went through to the next round of the cup. We have already beaten DVTK in a league match this season, winning 3-1 at the Sóstói Stadium.

After 12 rounds, Diósgyőr is in 5th place in the table with 5 wins, 4 draws and 3 defeats. Their last win was 4-3 away at Paks. DVTK have already lost twice at home this season, with FTC and MTK both coming away from Miskolc with 2-0 victories.

On Monday afternoon, DVTK announced on their official website that they had terminated the contract of sports director Dr. Endre Bajúsz by mutual agreement.
