Vidi travel to second place Kisvárda on Sunday

Another big match awaits the red and blues at the weekend.

On Sunday we will be the guests of Kisvárda Master Good in the 15th round of the OTP Bank League. The match will kick off at 13:30.

The team from the east of Hungary had an excellent start to the season, taking the three points from FTC in the first round and MTK in the third, while beating Gyirmót at home in between. Their first defeat came against us in the MOL Arena Sósto in round 4. They went on to defeat Mezőkövesd, Puskás Akadémia, DVSC, ZTE and MTK - the latter two with 5-0 wins. Apart from our team, only Honvéd and FTC have beaten Kisvárda, with the Green and Whites winning 4-0 away, a revenge for their 2-1 defeat in the season opener.

The red and white team started this season with a new head coach, with the arrival of Portuguese coach Joao Janeiro in May. The Portuguese head coach left Kisvárda after the home defeat against FTC, but the reason for his departure was not the defeat, but the fact that the 40-year-old coach was "signed" by FC Dunaszerdahely in Slovakia. His successor is still being sought in Kisvárda, with assistant coach Gábor Erős temporarily in charge.

Kisvárda have scored the fourth most goals and conceded the second fewest in the league. The two most successful players in the team are Jasmin Mesanovic and Jaroslav Navratil, both with 5 goals.
