Its a return back to OTP league action following the international break.
On Saturday evening we play Mezőkövesd in match 6 of the OTP Bank Liga.
The eastern based club started the 2021-2022 season with two wins, beating Paks away and then ZTE at home, but then they had a series of defeat (FTC) - draw (Gyirmót) - defeat (KIsvárda). In five games they have scored 7 goals and conceded 10, and are seventh in the table.
Attila Pintér's team finished the previous season in 8th place, and we won two of our three matches against them last year and drew once.
In the summer transfer window, the Yellow and Blues saw Dávid Barczi depart to (III. Kerületi TVE), Ulysse Diallo (Mali), Konstantinos Dimitriu (Panszerraikos), Gábor Eperjesi (Diósgyőri VTK), Richárd Guzmics (Haladás), Márk Jagodics (Budafoki MTE), Karlo Kamenár (Zrinjski Mostar), Mihajlo Meszki (FK Minaj), Andrij Neszterov (Polisja Zsitomir), Péter Szappanos (Bp. Honvéd) and Péter Takács (Putnok), while Antal Botond (DVTK), Baki Ákos (MTK Budapest), Andreias Calcan (Poli Iasi), Cseke Benjámin (MTK Budapest), Sztefan Drazsics (DVTK) are among the new arrivals as are, Gergő Kocsis (Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biala), Márk Madarász (Puskás Akadémia), Héctor Martínez (AEK Larnaca), Riccardo Piscitelli (CD Nacional) and Árpád Tordai (FC Farul Constanta).
Mezőkövesd will host Saturday's match and it will be the 10th first division game between the two teams, and the statistics couldn't be more balanced with 3 Vidi wins, 3 defeats 3 draws in the last 7 years.
