Vidi will be looking to build on the excellent cup win during the week with a difficult game on Sunday.
Ferencvaros enjoyed a 14 points lead over second place Puskas Academy going into the weekend matches. The gap between bottom placed DVTK and ZTE FC, who currently sit in 8th, is just 5 points. That was reduced to 4 points after DVTK picked up a point in their 2-2 draw with Mezokovesd on Friday evening. It is difficult to predict which sides will be relegated at the end of the season.
Our opponents on Sunday are battling to stay in the division and have won 7 of their 22 games so far. There have been 4 drawn matches and 11 defeats. Gabor Boer's side began 2021 with 2 draws. Those were away at Bp. Honved 2-2. and against Paks in a high scoring 4-4 draw. There then followed three losses to Budafok 1-3, Puskas 1-2 and against Ujpest 3-0. ZTE FC managed to win in midweek in the MOL Hungarian Cup. Although the tie went into extra time, they knocked out Honved to make it through to the last 8.
There wasn't too much movement in the transfer window during the winter. Two players departed, Ziga Zivko and Filip Dragoner, while five arrived. They included Marko Futacs, David Kis-Kalnoki, Daniel Nemeth, Szabolcs Szalay and Orji Nelson Chukwuma.
ZTE have scored the fourth most goals in the NB I with a total of 40. However, they have also conceded the third most with 41 going into their own net. Norbert Konyves and Rego Szantho have both scored 6 goals each.
The two sides shared a 3-3 draw back in August, before recoring a 2-0 win over them in November.
