Vidi come from behind to beat DVTK

Goals in the second half from Sejben and Nego secured all three points for Vidi after they fell behind to a Grumic goal for the visitors.

Week 14 of the OTP league season saw DVTK visit the Sostoi stadium on Saturday evening. Midfielder Mate Patkai made his 200th league appearance in first division games last week against Haladas. He was congratulated by the Director of Football, Zoltan Kovacs before the game.

The match started low key with the first real chance arriving after 17 minutes. A cross from Oliveira found Feczesin, who headed at goal from 5 meters out, which produced a good save from the visiting keeper Rados. It was Vidi that enjoyed more of the ball in the minutes that followed. However, they could not really find a way through the visiting backline.

The half hour mark resulted in Juhasz heading the ball back for Oliveira, who from 15 meters volleyed an effort, which deflected off a defender. The biggest chance of the match came after 35 minutes: a quick counter attack from DVTK down the right wing ended with the ball being curled in to the box, which was met at the far post by Grumic, who from 3 meters out headed wide. The Miskolc forward made no mistake 3 minutes later when he headed his side in to the lead on half time (0-1). Egerszegi had a long range free kick well saved by Danilovics.

Sejben replaced Oliveira at half time with the young winger scoring a goal with his first touch. That came after 47 minutes when a cross from the left came off Feczesin and in to the path of Sejben, who found the back of the net from 14 meters out. It was the 19 year old's first goal in the first division. (1-1).

Vidi remained on the attack following the equalizing goal. Kovacs was brought down on 54 minutes and Poloskei hit the resulting free kick at keeper Rados, with the rebound falling to Sejben who hit his shot over from close range, although in the end he was offside. Juhasz and Kovacs both had chances with headers on the hour mark but neither found the back of the net. Vidi went ahead after 70 minutes: A corner was headed on to the post by defender Juhasz, and Nego was fastest to react to hit a shot under the crossbar and in. (2-1).

The visitors came out and started to get more of the ball in the final 20 minutes. However, they could not find a clear cut chance to change the scoreline. Videoton could have extended their lead in the 84th minute. Kovacs released Feczesin, who cut the ball back in to the path of Trebotic, but the Croatian midfielder saw his low shot blocked by the keeper.

It was the visiting side that came closest to levelling on 90 minutes. A cross from the left ended with Szolnoki hacking the ball off the line and away to safety. Videoton picked up a 2-1 home win to go up to 6th in the table. It was the second time this season that the red and blues have come back from a goal down to secure the points. They did the same in August in a 2-1 win in Miskolc. Vidi are next in OTP league  action on the 21st November with a home match against Vasas. They also have a friendly match next Friday at the home of Honved.
